This pattern is an advanced beginner to intermediate and features a strong modern aesthetic. This quilt was inspired by my love of bold color combinations and geometric design. As the project progressed it eminded me of shapes and textures you encounter on a walk in the city, e.g. crosswalks, manhole covers, traffic signs and construction sites. I love the effect of mixing simple piecing in new and interesting combinations as a way to freshen up a quilt. This pattern also uses an oversized drunkards path template, another unexpected element.
